The United States national debt stands at nearly $13 trillion dollars.  If our entire federal debt was divided equally between every American living in the US today (approximately 300 million), each man, woman, and child would owe more than $42,900 dollars or $118,000 for every tax paying citizen.   Our national debt is excessive and in need of reduction.  We support reducing our national debt, primarily through balanced federal budgets, and continued repayment of all monies borrowed by the United States.
