WHY IT IS NEEDED: As people are dependent on their vehicles for transportation to work, school, and church it is necessary that they be able to go from place to place without fear that gasoline will increase so dramatically that they will not be able to continue to function in their everyday lives.  As the American auto industry has shown no inclination to transition from a fossil fuel based industry to that of an alternative energy based industry, we will do it for them. 

HOW IT WILL BE DONE:  We propose nationalizing Chrysler, Ford, and General Motors, or the “Big Three” as they are sometimes referred to, by the Untied States federal government.  Not only will we then transition each company into an alternative energy based company owned and controlled by the people of the United States but we will generate revenue for our country.  Indeed, each corporation, owned by the people of the United States through the federal government will make money for the American people instead of for a narrow group of corporate executives and stock holders.
